Lettuce Mineral

Consistent Yields with Less Risk

The «Mineral» lettuce variety from Rijk Zwaan is a tool for those who prioritize predictability in their production cycle. From a grower's perspective, this leaf lettuce variety behaves reliably throughout the growth stages. Its primary value lies in its strong resistance to downy mildew. In humid conditions, where other varieties often require emergency fungicide treatments, «Mineral» maintains leaf health and marketability, significantly protecting the bottom line.

Agronomic performance and management

• Plant type: Leaf lettuce, forming consistent rosettes even under intensive growing schedules.
• Maturity: Early-maturing, allowing for quick turnover and maximizing the use of greenhouse space.
• Health: Genetic resistance to downy mildew reduces input costs and streamlines maintenance efforts.

Working with «Mineral» is straightforward. It is not overly demanding of growing conditions, gains vegetative mass rapidly, and holds the specific characteristics developed by Rijk Zwaan breeders in the Netherlands. For an intensive farming operation, this hybrid offers a way to minimize the risks of quality loss during peak season. During harvest, the uniformity of the plants simplifies sorting and reduces labor costs, ensuring a high-quality product reaches the market.
