Lettuce MILLION

Dutch breeding for early harvests

The «Million» lettuce from Enza Limited represents a professional standard in butterhead salad production. Developed by the experts at Enza Zaden Beheer B.V., this hybrid has earned a solid reputation among commercial growers who prioritize consistency, yield, and high marketability.

Field performance and advantages

The choice of this variety is driven by its ability to mitigate common cultivation risks. The primary focus is on comprehensive genetic resistance to diseases and pests:

• High tolerance to downy mildew, a critical factor for lettuce health.
• Resistance to lettuce mosaic virus, ensuring crop uniformity.
• Resistance to aphids, effectively reducing the need for intensive insecticide applications.

«Million» belongs to the early-maturing butterhead category. The heads form rapidly while maintaining a tender leaf structure and a vibrant green color highly sought after in the fresh produce market. The medium-sized head makes it perfectly suited for both supermarket retail chains and the HoReCa sector.
