Lettuce TYPICAL

Practical Cultivation of Tipical Lettuce

When working with the Tipical hybrid from Syngenta, you immediately appreciate its reliability. For an agronomist, this means no unpleasant surprises in the field: early maturity allows for quick crop rotation. This Romaine type holds its shape perfectly, forming a dense and substantial head that is easy to handle during harvest—it doesn't fall apart and maintains excellent marketability even after transportation.

Field Resilience and Performance

The standout feature of Tipical is its genetic resistance to downy mildew. In high-humidity conditions where adjacent crops often show signs of infection, this lettuce remains clean. This significantly cuts fungicide costs and minimizes the manual labor required for sorting or discarding damaged leaves. The plant exhibits vigorous early growth, which helps it compete effectively with weeds during the establishment phase.

Harvesting Efficiency

Tipical performs exceptionally well in both manual harvesting and partially mechanized operations. The leaf orientation minimizes damage during cutting, which is a major advantage for commercial production. The vibrant green color is maintained even after extended storage, a quality highly valued by retailers. The density of the head makes it perfect for packaging, as it resists wilting and allows for high-density planting, maximizing yield per hectare.
