Lettuce Gusar

Efficient early production strategy

"Gusar" lettuce, developed by Ukrainian breeder Iob Naan, is a strategic choice for growers focused on high-speed crop cycles. Its early maturity allows producers to capture peak market demand for fresh greens at the beginning of the season, ensuring high profitability and efficient land utilization in both protected and open field conditions.

Key technical characteristics

• Plant type: Leaf-type variety that develops a uniform rosette, ideal for both mechanized harvesting and hand-picking.
• Visual Appeal: A vibrant light-green color that maintains its fresh appearance, essential for retail shelf-life and professional culinary use.
• Yield: The average weight of the rosette provides a perfect balance for direct market sales and salad mix production.

Practical applications in farming

"Gusar" is designed to fit seamlessly into a continuous production conveyor. By leveraging its rapid growth rate, farmers can optimize their planting schedules to maintain constant supply lines to local supermarkets or food service providers. The variety responds well to standard fertigation protocols, requiring minimal specialized labor during the growing cycle. Whether cultivated as a primary crop or as an inter-row filler, it provides the predictability and uniformity required for professional agricultural operations.
