Lettuce CUK

Stable yields with Rijk Zwaan

When working with the KUK hybrid from Rijk Zwaan, the most notable feature is reliability. This lettuce variety is designed for growers who prioritize early maturity and efficiency. In intensive farming, this plant demonstrates remarkable consistency and stress tolerance, making daily field management much easier.

Disease resistance and field performance

The primary concern with lettuce crops is often Downy Mildew and Lettuce Mosaic Virus. By selecting KUK, you rely on the proven genetics of Rijk Zwaan to combat these pathogens. This approach naturally reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, which helps keep production costs low. The plant forms a compact rosette, which makes maintenance and harvesting much more efficient.

• Plant Type: Leaf lettuce with a well-formed, compact rosette.
• Maturity: Early-maturing, perfect for continuous cropping cycles.
• Size: Small mass, ideal for fresh-cut or individual packaging.

Uniformity is where this hybrid truly shines. Every plant in the row grows at the same pace, which drastically reduces sorting time and post-harvest losses. For any grower, this means a clean, marketable product that meets strict retail standards with minimal effort in the packhouse.
