Lettuce Udacha

Technical Profile of the Variety

The leaf lettuce 'Udaya' by the agricultural company 'Sedek' is a selection product focused on achieving significant marketable yield within a medium maturation cycle. The originators of the variety (Dubinin S.V., Dubinina I.N., Lukyanenko A.N.) integrated high-yield genetics into the plant, allowing it to form large, robust rosettes while maintaining a tender leaf texture.

Morphology and Vegetation

The key feature of 'Udaya' lies in its rosette architecture. The plant develops a voluminous leaf mass, making it suitable for both commercial sales (where marketable weight is crucial) and home garden use. The light green hue of the leaf blades indicates high photosynthetic activity when optimal nutrient levels are maintained.

• Plant Type: Leaf lettuce, which does not form a tight head, simplifying agricultural maintenance and harvesting.
• Color Spectrum: A saturated light green color that persists even under active sunlight.
• Maturation period: Mid-season variety. Technical maturity is reached within an optimal timeframe, allowing the plant to gain maximum mass without premature bolting.

The practical application of 'Udaya' is most efficient when grown in open soil or film covers. Thanks to the large size of its rosette, the variety demonstrates high yield per square meter, making it a profitable solution for growers seeking consistent production volumes. The variety is technologically adapted to various climatic zones, retaining its varietal characteristics even during moderate temperature fluctuations.
