KNEVICHANKA

Knevichanka is a type of white cabbage, developed at the Primorsky Vegetable Experimental Station, known for its high resistance to bacterial spot and gray mold. The heads are round in shape, have a dense structure, and weigh between 1.6 and 2.2 kg, with a height of 12–18 cm. The leaves are dark green with a bluish waxy coating, whole, with petioles 5–10 cm long, and the leaf rosette is semi-erect. The inner part of the head is white-yellow, while the outer stalk reaches 8–14 cm, and the inner one is about 7 cm.

This medium-late cabbage variety is well adapted to various climatic conditions and is suitable for cultivation on sandy and loam soils with a neutral or weakly alkaline reaction. Knevichanka demonstrates high marketable yield — from 1.7 to 2.8 kg per square meter, making it attractive for both home gardens and farm enterprises.

Knevichanka cabbage is characterized by good taste qualities and a long storage period. It is recommended for fresh consumption and is also excellent for pickling, expanding its culinary and winter preparation uses.
