Description DANISH
DANISH Garden Cress – an early-maturing variety of European selection that reaches technical maturity in just 10‑14 days after germination. This cold-hardy type is perfectly suited for winter and early spring periods: grown outdoors in summer and indoors in winter or at home in small trays with a 5–8 cm soil layer.

The leaves of 'DANISH' are semi-erect, tender, and light green. The taste is spicy and sharp, making it an excellent ingredient for fresh salads, sandwiches, and light appetizers. The crop is valued for its high content of vitamins (especially C), iron, iodine, and potassium, so it is in demand among those who pay attention to the nutritional value of dishes.

For cultivation, sowing is recommended outdoors in early spring with an interval of 2–3 weeks until autumn (rate – 1 g of seeds per m²). In protected ground, the rate can be increased to 5 g, planting in rows with a spacing of 10–15 cm and sowing seeds at a depth of 0.5–1 cm. If seedlings are too dense, thinning is necessary. After sowing, maintain soil moisture, regularly loosen the rows, and fertilize. Garden cress reacts quickly to drying out, so constant watering is especially important to maintain leaf softness.
