Goat's rue Zlatogor

Technical Overview of Galega (Goat's Rue) "Zlatogor"

The "Zlatogor" variety of Eastern Galega, developed by the Scientific-Production System "Elit", is a perennial legume designed for intensive forage production. Unlike transient annual crops, this variety provides a robust, long-term solution for livestock farming, maintaining high productivity on a single plot for over a decade.

Biological Traits and Growth Dynamics

With a plant height ranging from 100 to 150 cm, "Zlatogor" is engineered for high biomass yields per cut. The core technical advantage lies in its profound root system, which penetrates deep soil layers, conferring exceptional drought tolerance. Furthermore, the symbiotic relationship with nitrogen-fixing bacteria on its roots serves as a bio-fertilizer mechanism, significantly reducing reliance on synthetic nitrogen inputs.

Operational Efficiency

• Nutritional Density: High protein and amino acid content make "Zlatogor" an optimal choice for high-yield dairy cow nutrition.
• Regrowth Rate: The variety exhibits rapid biomass regeneration, allowing for 2–3 high-quality harvests per vegetative season.
• Resource Management: Early spring emergence gives "Zlatogor" a competitive edge over weed populations, minimizing the need for herbicide intervention.

By integrating "Zlatogor" into a crop rotation, producers benefit from both soil fertility enhancement and reliable forage supply. The Scientific-Production System "Elit" has optimized this variety for professional agriculture, where field longevity and feed efficiency are critical economic drivers.
