Chishminsky 4 is an erect shrub with a loose structure, reaching a height of 130 to 150 cm. The stem has medium softness, is slightly pubescent at the nodes, and the nodes are dyed in dark green and bluish shades. The shrubfulness is pronounced, the leaves are dark green, elongated-lanceolate, without pubescence, directed upwards, which ensures a dense surface coverage.
Morphological features include a semi-compressed light gray panicle and the absence of awniness. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, which makes it suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe eco-types and on moist soils with solar illumination.
Chishminsky 4 is widely used as a forage plant: seeds are used when sowing hay meadows, pastures, and also in reclamation works for slope reinforcement. Due to its perennial nature and resistance to climatic loads, it is a valuable resource for agriculture and environmental protection projects.
