Smooth brome "Chishminsky 3" is a high-yielding grass intended for producing quality fodder for livestock. The plant features upright stems 160–165 cm high and strong tillering, ensuring good wind resistance and rapid recovery after mechanical processing.
Leaves of this variety are linear and flat, while the inflorescence is a spreading panicle. Seeds are large, light brown, with a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 4–5 g. Green mass contains 11.4% crude protein and 35.4% fiber, making the fodder especially valuable for livestock rations.
The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, as well as late maturation. Green mass yield reaches 219–238 c/ha, hay – 65–78 c/ha, and seeds – 4.5 c/ha. Thanks to these characteristics, "Chishminsky 3" is widely used in agriculture for producing quality fodder material.
