Description Antei
Bromus inermis (Bromus inermis) – a valuable forage grass reaching up to 150 cm in height, featuring dense elongated vegetative stems, making it attractive to livestock. The plant recovers quickly after mowing: two full harvests can be obtained in a year, and three under optimal conditions. High green mass yield reaches 100 kg/ha, with energy and protein content in pasture forage being 29 kcal and 3–5.5 kg of protein per 100 kg respectively; in hay – 47–52 kcal and 3–5.5 kg of protein.

Bromus inermis is resistant to trampling by livestock and can withstand up to five grazing cycles without quality loss. It grows quickly: maximum productivity is achieved by the second or third year of cultivation, and the active usage period can exceed 10 years with proper care.

In addition to its forage function, the plant is widely used in landscape design and hydraulic engineering. Thanks to its dense root system, Bromus inermis effectively strengthens lawns, sports grounds, and the banks of artificial water bodies, preventing erosion and ensuring trampling resistance.
