Arugula SELVAGGIJA

Italian character for your salad

The Selvaggia arugula from La Societa Delle Scienze Umane S.R.L is a premium selection for those who value authentic, bold, and "wild" flavors in their greens. Unlike standard varieties that often lose their punch when grown rapidly, this variety maintains its signature spiciness even under the intensity of the summer sun.

Why choose Selvaggia?

• Speed and Consistency: With a 25–35 day vegetation period, it is perfect for continuous, high-efficiency green production throughout the summer.
• Intense Profile: The vibrant green leaves possess a distinct nutty and mustard-like flavor. It provides that essential "spark" that elevates a standard salad to restaurant-grade quality.
• Professional Breeding: The originator, La Societa Delle Scienze Umane S.R.L, has prioritized stress resistance. A yield of 2.0–2.5 kg/m² is a significant achievement for this type of crop, especially when proper irrigation is maintained.

Growing insights

Selvaggia is ideally suited for summer sowing, when long daylight hours typically trigger premature bolting in many varieties. This hybrid behaves with greater stability, allowing for the harvest of high-quality rosettes without the bitterness common in over-matured arugula. It is an excellent choice for both open-field cultivation and vertical/city farming, where visual appeal and flavor are paramount. If you are looking for a crop that won't fail during the peak of the season and provides reliable commercial volumes, this variety from Italian experts is your top choice.
