Beauty Madlen – a decorative shrub of the Rosaceae family, reaching a height of about 150 cm and a crown diameter of 120 cm. The shrub has a semi-spreading crown with medium branch density; branches of medium thickness, straight, brownish-grey in color and slightly thorny. Leaves are narrow, lanceolate, dark green, with a sharp tip and serrated edge, adorned with kidney-shaped stipules.
In the spring period, the plant delights the eye with bright pink flowers. Flowering stems reach 150 cm, and inflorescences are shortened racemes consisting of 4-5 buds with a diameter of 8-10 cm. Each bud contains a semi-double, saucer-shaped flower with a diameter of 3.5-4.5 cm. After flowering, round yellow fruits of medium size form, usually one or two per branch.
The 'Beauty Madlen' variety is distinguished by its winter hardiness and medium drought resistance, while having low heat tolerance. It is resistant to diseases and survives winters well even in southern regions. Thanks to its decorativeness and undemanding nature, the plant is suitable for both solitary planting and the formation of living fences, group compositions, or laying along slopes and terraces.
