Description DIMITRINA
Chenomeles Dimitrina – an ornamental-fruit shrub of Japanese quince, known for its bright dark-red flowers and medium-sized fruits. The plant reaches a height of 1 to 2 meters, has inclined arching branches, and a densely leafy crown. Leaves are glossy and dark green, while thorns up to 2 cm in length make the bush suitable for living fences.

Flowering occurs in late April to early May and lasts almost a month. Flowers are large (about 4 cm) and can be red, orange, raspberry, pink, or white in color. They are arranged chaotically on the branches, creating bunches of 2–6, which gives the bush a festive appearance.

Dimitrina fruits are yellow-green, edible, and taste like pineapple. They are medium-sized and can be used for both decorative purposes and fresh fruit production. The root system is fibrous and superficial, making planting in various soil conditions easier. Thanks to the moderate climate, the plant grows well in regions with a mild season.
