Southcoastal is a seedless table grape variety of medium maturity, intended for fresh consumption. This variety was bred at NIIVV 'Magarach' using generative hybridization by crossing the Magarach No. 53-75-57 and Strashen table grape varieties. Thanks to genetically determined resistance to fungal diseases, Southcoastal is distinguished by high reliability in cultivation and is suitable for all viticulture zones of Ukraine.
Grape clusters have a mass of 500 to 1000 grams, and berries are characterized by a rich purple, blue, or black color. Sugar content of the fruit ranges from 20 to 25%, while acidity ranges from 0 to 5 g/l, providing a pleasant taste and good balance. The high yield of the variety reaches up to 125 centners per hectare, making it attractive for commercial cultivation.
Southcoastal grapes are adapted to various climatic conditions and are suitable for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine. It is recommended to consume it mainly in a fresh state, which allows the maximum expression of taste qualities and berry benefits. Resistance to fungal diseases reduces the need for frequent treatments, which eases plant care and promotes environmentally clean production.
