The Pospekh apple variety is a late-winter variety bred at the Institute of Pomology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Trees of this variety are dwarf and fast-growing, reaching a height of 2-3 meters. The crown is round-pyramidal, medium density and compact, with straight branches branching off at an angle close to straight, with the ends of the branches pointing downwards. The bark on the trunk is smooth and gray. Fruit bearing occurs regularly on ringed structures, fruit cushions and vegetative shoots.
Pospekh variety fruits are large, of regular round shape, with an average mass of about 155-180 grams, with a maximum mass reaching 240 grams. The main color of apples is green with a diffuse-striped red blush covering most of the surface. The flesh is greenish, finely granular, medium density, juicy and aromatic, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste, confirmed by a tasting rating of 4.2 points. The consumption period lasts from December to April.
The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to scab, and also has immunity to a number of diseases, including rust, powdery mildew and spot. Apple tree is self-fertile, which facilitates care and increases yield stability. Yield of the variety is very high, making it attractive for cultivation. The variety is also resistant to pests such as spider mite, aphid, blossom moth, apple aphid and codling moth.
