Description MOLDOVA
Moldova grape is a mid-late table variety highly popular among gardeners thanks to its taste qualities and resistance. The bushes of this variety are vigorous, with well-ripening canes and large round leaves. The flower is perfect, which contributes to high yield. The clusters have a cylindrical-conical shape of medium density and weigh from 500 to 800 grams and more. The berries are large, oval, dark purple in color with a dense waxy bloom, thick and firm skin, and fleshy, crispy pulp with a dessert taste. The Moldova variety is characterized by good frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to -25°C, and resistance to fungal diseases such as oidium, downy mildew, and rot. However, it is sensitive to chlorosis and requires warm, nutrient-rich, and well-moistened soils for optimal growth. The grape is well suited for arbor culture and horizontal formations, which facilitates care and harvest collection. The Moldova variety does not tolerate overloading or underloading with fruit, so it requires correct regulation of fruiting. The fruits of Moldova grape are characterized by high marketability, transportability, and storability, which allows keeping them fresh until January and longer. Under the climatic conditions of southern Ukraine, the harvest period falls from mid to late September. Saplings of this variety are supplied in special packaging, ensuring root protection and 100% survival rate, which makes it convenient for cultivation in various regions. Thanks to its qualities and undemanding nature, the Moldova variety remains one of the best choices for amateur and professional viticulturists.
