SMIRNOV MEMORY

Smirnov Memory is a seedless grape variety of medium ripening period, which ripens in approximately 130-135 days. Bred by Y.I. Potapenko as a result of crossing the Villard blanc and Kishmish taivsky pink varieties, this variety is characterized by high vigor of bushes and good cane maturity. Clusters are large, cylinder-conical in shape, weighing from 400 to 700 grams, with medium density. Berries are elongated, bright pink, weighing 2.5-3.0 grams, with a pointed tip, possessing a harmonious taste and juicy, fleshy pulp. Smirnov Memory bushes are characterized by high yield — on average 3.2 kg per bush at a planting scheme of 3x0.5 m, which corresponds to 2.0-2.1 kg per square meter of growing area. Fruiting shoots are about 55-60%, and the bud load is 30-40 per bush. The variety is distinguished by high frost resistance up to -26°C and resistance to fungal diseases such as downy mildew and powdery mildew, with resistance ratings of 2.0-2.5 and 2.0 points, respectively. This makes it undemanding in care and reliable for growing in various climatic conditions. Smirnov Memory grapes are valued for their exquisite taste and versatility. Thanks to seedlessness and juicy pulp, it is perfect for fresh consumption as well as for the production of dried goods, which receive high tasting scores — 7.8-8.0 points. The variety harmoniously combines high berry quality, resistance to adverse factors, and good yield, making it a promising choice for viticulturists.
