The "MIKHAILOVSKIY 5" esparcet variety is a mid-season option successfully grown in the Western and Eastern Siberian regions. The vegetative period until mowing maturity lasts 62–64 days, while full seed maturation is achieved 103–106 days after sowing.
Plants have an upright growth habit reaching up to 150 cm in height with moderate bushiness. Bushes are characterized by an abundance of branches (foliar density up to 45%) and round, thick stems with light pubescence. Leaflets are dark green, slightly covered with hairs, ensuring good photosynthetic activity.
Inflorescences are thin spikes, pointed at the top and spindle-shaped. Pods are gray-brown with a greenish-brown hue. Average yield of dry matter in the region is 21.9 t/ha – 3.1 t/ha higher than the standard. During trials, no disease damage was observed, making the variety resistant and reliable for agricultural use.
