Description Bibo F1
Bibo F1 Eggplant — an ultra-early, white-fruited hybrid developed by Dutch company Seminis. This variety is characterized by its early maturity: the first fruits can be harvested as early as 50-55 days after transplanting seedlings. The plant is medium-height, reaching up to 80 cm, with a semi-spreading form and short internodes. Stems are strong, lightly hairy, and covered with dense foliage. To increase yield, it is recommended to form two stems and support the plants. Each plant typically produces around 14-15 fruits. The hybrid is resistant to sharp temperature fluctuations and continues fruiting even under adverse conditions, and it is immune to Fusarium and tobacco mosaic virus. The fruits of Bibo F1 eggplant have an elongated-cylindrical shape and distinctive white color with a matte surface. The weight of one fruit reaches 400-500 grams, the surface is smooth, and the skin is dense, ensuring good storage and transport without loss of quality. The hybrid seeds are small, with 200 to 250 seeds per gram. The plant responds well to fertilization and requires proper agronomic practices, including not overly dense planting — ideally 20-25 thousand plants per hectare or 4-6 seedlings per square meter, as well as regular watering and feeding. Bibo F1 is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments. The hybrid is valued for its high yield and resistance to diseases and pests, though timely insecticide application is recommended for pest control. This variety is versatile in culinary use: the fruits are excellent for frying, boiling, and canning, producing tasty dishes without noticeable bitterness. Thanks to its dense skin, eggplants are not prone to rotting, making them convenient for storage and transport.
