EASTERN PRINCE

The Eastern Prince eggplant is a new early variety of author's selection, characterized by a tall plant and unusual fruits. The fruits are long, narrow, cylindrical, 24-26 cm in length and 210-250 g in weight, can be straight or slightly curved. The flesh is dense, practically seedless, with a greenish tint and no bitterness, making them especially attractive for culinary use.

The Eastern Prince variety begins to bear fruit 105-110 days after sowing. For cultivation, sowing for seedlings at the end of February is recommended, followed by pricking out at the seedling stage and transplanting into open ground at the end of May. The optimal soil temperature for seed germination is 25-28 °C. When forming the plant, all side shoots and leaves up to the first fork must be removed, leaving 5-6 of the largest fruits on the plant; the rest of the flowers and fruits are removed. The recommended planting scheme is 40x60 cm.

The elegant fruits of the Eastern Prince variety are ideal for preparing the traditional dish 'Mother-in-law's Tongue', as well as for eggplant caviar, where the lack of seeds improves the taste. Thanks to the dense flesh and lack of bitterness, this eggplant variety will be an excellent choice for various culinary experiments and home growing.
