MOLOCNIK

Molochnik is a mid-early eggplant variety with a ripening period of 105-115 days, intended for growing in open ground in southern regions and under temporary film covers. The plant is medium-sized, reaching a height of up to one meter and differs in good leafiness. The fruits have an elongated pear-shaped or almost cylindrical shape, white in color, which changes to yellow upon ripening. The average weight of fruits is 200-220 grams.

The flesh of Molochnik variety eggplants is white, dense and tender, without the bitterness characteristic of purple varieties, which makes this variety particularly attractive for culinary use. The fruits are recommended for preparing delicacies appetizers and meat side dishes, and are also excellent for canning. Thanks to their taste qualities, the variety is valued as versatile and convenient to use.

Growing the variety begins with sowing seedlings at the end of February, with pricking out at the cotyledon stage. Seedling planting is carried out at the end of May in accordance with the planting scheme of 40x60 cm. To form the plant, it is recommended to remove all side shoots and leaves up to the first fork, and to leave 5-6 of the largest ovaries on the plant, removing the remaining flowers and ovaries. This approach contributes to increased yield and improved fruit quality.
