Dill UNCLE VANYA

Precision for the Processing Industry

The «Dyadya Vanya» dill variety, developed by experts at the Saint Petersburg State Agrarian University, is engineered specifically for industrial-scale processing. While many varieties focus on the fresh market, this selection is tailored for enterprises specializing in large-volume drying, blast freezing, and the production of herb-based seasonings and convenience foods.

Operational Efficiency

• Suitability for Mechanization: The plant habit and biomass density are optimized for mechanical harvesting. This drastically reduces labor costs, making it a viable choice for large fields where manual cutting is economically unfeasible.
• Quality Retention: The variety retains its volatile oil profile and deep color even after harsh industrial drying or freezing processes. This is vital for manufacturers who require standardized raw material to ensure consistent quality of their final spice products.
• Production Consistency: By using seeds from the originator, farmers gain predictable maturity cycles. This allows for precise scheduling of harvesting windows, ensuring a steady stream of raw material to processing lines and preventing production downtime.

«Dyadya Vanya» is an asset for agribusinesses that operate under supply contracts with the food industry. Its cultivation requires disciplined adherence to water and nutrient management protocols, which, in return, provides the leaf density and quality necessary for high-yield, cost-effective industrial operations.
