Preobrazhenskiy is an early-maturing dill variety intended for open-ground cultivation for both greens and spices. The plant forms a semi-erect rosette of leaves about 23 cm high, reaching 80-95 cm in height at the flowering stage. Dill is characterized by a compact and heavily foliated form with approximately 10 leaves measuring 18-20 cm in length. The leaves are green with a strongly dissected structure featuring flattened thread-like segments, which impart high aromaticity and excellent taste qualities.
The plant mass at harvest for greens ranges from 20 to 40 grams, while for spice harvest it is about 50 grams. Marketable yield reaches 1.10 kg per square meter when grown for greens and 1.8 kg per square meter when used for spices. The variety is recommended for drying, freezing, preparing various seasonings, as well as for pickling and marinating, making it versatile in cooking.
Sowing dill Preobrazhenskiy is carried out in open ground at the end of April to early May. High seed germination, around 86%, ensures reliable and uniform sprouting. Due to its characteristics and versatility of application, this dill variety is an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers seeking high-quality greens and spices.
