Dill Delicat is a mid-season variety with unique characteristics, ideal for growing in the garden. The period from germination to harvest for greens is 40-60 days, while for spices it is 80-95 days. The plant forms a powerful semi-erect rosette 30-40 cm high, covered with large, medium-cut green leaves with a waxy coating, possessing a bright aroma. In the flowering phase, dill reaches a height of up to 150 cm and is adorned with large, convex, and highly aromatic umbels, giving the plant a decorative and attractive appearance.
The variety is distinguished by high yield: when harvested for greens, it is 2.5-3.5 kg per square meter, and for spices - 3.5-4.5 kg per square meter. For the continuous production of fresh and tender greens, sowings are recommended every 10-14 days. Dill Delicat can also be used in greenhouses as a crowding crop, which allows for effective use of space and stable harvests.
This variety is valued for the large amount of aromatic greens and a long period of commercial suitability, as it does not form inflorescences for a long time. Dill leaves are suitable for raw consumption, as well as drying, freezing, salting, and making various seasonings. Moreover, Dill Delicat is widely used as a spice for canning and pickling, thanks to its rich aroma and taste qualities.
