MASCARAD is an early-maturing dill variety, distinguished by its rapid growth and compact bush shape. The plant forms lush bushes with short internodes and sturdy stems reaching a height of about 25 cm. The leaves are large, long, dark green with a slight bluish tint and a weak waxy coating, giving them an attractive appearance. The mass of one plant at harvesting for greens is about 35 g, and up to 60 g when harvested for spices.
The variety is recommended for spring cultivation in greenhouses and open ground, as well as suitable for indoor growing on balconies and terraces. The period from germination to green harvesting is 25-30 days, allowing for fresh produce in a short time. The plant is light-loving and develops well on southern and western windows. Due to high aromaticity, dill leaves and seeds of MASCARAD are widely used fresh, for drying, pickling, and freezing, as well as a spice for pickling cucumbers and cabbage.
Dill fruits are small, weighing 4-5 g, have a sharp taste and varied coloring, including green, lime, cream, purple, red, and raspberry colors. This makes the variety not only useful but also a decorative element when greening indoor and outdoor spaces. MASCARAD combines high yield, rich aroma, and versatility of application, making it an excellent choice for lovers of fresh greens and home preserves.
