Dill Spartak

Operating Guidelines for 'Spartak' Dill

For agricultural operators focusing on high-quality leaf production, the 'Spartak' dill variety represents a reliable, long-cycle solution. With a maturity window of 160–170 days, this variety is tailored for producers who prioritize output quality and steady supply chains over quick, short-term turnover. It is a robust choice that rewards patient management with dense, flavorful foliage.

Operational Performance and Maintenance

Cultivating 'Spartak' requires a disciplined approach to site management to maximize yields:

• Growth Cycle Management: The extended 170-day period allows for better logistical planning and resource allocation throughout the season.
• Harvesting Efficiency: The structure of the leaf rosette is well-suited for mechanical harvesting, minimizing manual labor costs in large-scale operations.
• Resource Allocation: Due to the extended growth duration, soil nutrient depletion is a factor. A phased fertilization schedule is mandatory to maintain plant health through the final stages of maturity.

Success with 'Spartak' hinges on consistent moisture control. While it handles seasonal fluctuations better than many early-maturing varieties, stability is the key to preventing the yellowing of lower leaves. By adhering to the standardized protocols set by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production, operators can ensure a premium, marketable product that consistently meets trade specifications.
