Description KARAKUM
KARAKUM is an early basil variety with a characteristic cinnamon aroma, reaching market readiness 40-50 days after germination. Plants grow to a height of 35-40 cm and have dark leaves with a rich anthocyanin color. The mass of one plant ranges from 150 to 250 grams, and the yield reaches 1.8-2 kg per square meter. Thanks to their decorative qualities and compact size, the variety is excellent for growing in pots on a windowsill or balcony.

The leaves of KARAKUM basil have a pleasant bitter-sweet taste and are used as an aromatic addition to various dishes: meat and fish, salads, as well as for marinating mushrooms and vegetables. Young leaves are recommended to be harvested during the pre-flowering period, when they accumulate the maximum amount of essential oils, giving the plant an inimitable aroma. In dried form, basil retains its taste and aroma for a long time, which expands its application possibilities in cuisine.

To preserve the aroma of basil when preparing dishes, it is recommended to add it at the last moment and crush the leaves by hand, avoiding the use of a knife. In addition to culinary applications, the KARAKUM variety can serve as a decorative plant, adorning a garden, balcony, or terrace with its rich color and pleasant aroma.
