Monomakh

Coriander variety Monomakh is a fast-maturing bush-type variety with a period from germination to harvest of greenery from 32 to 50 days and to flowering onset 64-75 days. The plant reaches a height of 50-60 cm and is characterized by a dense, upright rosette of leaves with strongly dissected segments. The leaves are dark green with a bluish tint, succulent and aromatic due to high essential oil content, giving the greens a rich, spicy aroma and making them ideal for fresh use, drying, freezing, and canning. Monomakh variety is distinguished by high yield and resistance to diseases and adverse weather conditions, including drought and slight shading. Due to its bushy growth type and branched structure, the plant yields abundant harvest even on limited areas. Leaves maintain freshness and do not yellow, extending the harvesting period and allowing prolonged use of coriander. For growing Monomakh coriander, light, fertile soils on sunny sites are recommended, although the variety tolerates slight shading well. Sowing can be done in open ground, greenhouses, or pots at temperatures from +12 to +15°C, with seedlings tolerating brief frosts. In addition to culinary use, coriander seed infusion is used in folk medicine for liver diseases, convulsions, and digestive organ dysfunction.
