Description
Zorya Halitska black currant variety is an early-ripening type with round-oval berries of dark cherry, almost black color. Berries weigh 1.5 to 1.9 grams, have juicy flesh and a refreshing sour-sweet taste, which is very pleasant. The bushes of this variety are medium-sized, slightly spreading, about 1.3 meters tall, with straight medium shoots and dense medium-length clusters, on which berries ripen together and almost simultaneously, remaining on the bush for a long time without falling.
The variety is characterized by high and stable yield — from one bush, you can harvest 4 to 4.5 kilograms of berries. It has good resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, septoria, and anthracnose, which significantly simplifies care and reduces the risk of crop loss. Moreover, Zorya Halitska is characterized by high drought resistance and winter hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant bushes in sunny locations. The plant tolerates winter and drought well, allowing for stable yields even in adverse weather conditions. When sold, the root system is supplied in moist sawdust, tightly wrapped in stretch film, ensuring the preservation and viability of the seedlings.
