Description Cascade
Red currant Cascade is a high-yielding, medium-early variety characterized by compact bush size and a neat crown. The plant reaches a height of up to one and a half meters, has light green serrated leaves, and is decorative in appearance. This variety was bred in America and quickly gained popularity due to its stable yield and berry quality.

Cascade currant berries are large, weighing up to 1.4 grams, round in shape with a rich red color and a characteristic glossy sheen. The fruit skin is dense, ensuring good transportability and preservation during storage. The berries have an acid-sweet, pleasant, and invigorating taste. The clusters are quite large, about 10 centimeters long, which facilitates harvest collection, with ripening occurring by mid-July.

The Cascade variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and good resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, septoria, and anthracnose. It is not demanding regarding soil type and can be used not only for fruit production but also for decorative purposes, for example, to create living fences. Berries remain fresh for up to five days and are excellent for freezing.
