Description Konsul
Black currant variety 'Consul' is an early-ripening variety with compact and medium-height bushes. The bushes are tall, semi-spreading with long, flexible medium-thickness branches, which ensures high and stable yield. This variety is self-fertile and exhibits good cold resistance, as well as resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, anthracnose, and septoria.

The berries of 'Consul' are large, round, black, and shiny with a firm and elastic skin that easily separates. The average berry weight ranges from 1.7 to 4 grams, and one bush can yield about 4 kg of fruit. The flesh has a greenish-brown hue and a pleasant sour-sweet taste with a moderate aroma, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption.

'Consul' black currant is ideal for making jams, jellies, and other winter preserves, and it also withstands freezing well, preserving its beneficial properties. Thanks to its characteristics and resistance to adverse conditions, this variety is a reliable and productive option for cultivation in various climatic zones.
