TRUZHENITSA

Black currant variety Truzhenitsa represents a new variety bred at the Kushnarenkovsky Breeding Center of the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture. This variety is distinguished by high yield and large fruit size, making it attractive for cultivation both on an industrial scale and in home gardens. The bushes are medium-sized with a semi-spreading or strongly spreading form, which allows for effective use of space even on small plots. Berry clusters are 7-9 centimeters long and contain 4 to 8 large berries of a round-oval shape with bright black skin and dense elastic flesh. Truzhenitsa belongs to mid-late ripening varieties and has a universal purpose. The berries have a rich sour-sweet taste with a bright refreshing aroma, and the skin thickness ensures good preservation of the fruits. The average berry mass is about 2.5 grams, and vitamin C content reaches 122 mg per 100 grams, making this variety beneficial and nutritious. The variety's yield is high — up to 4 kilograms per bush or about 148 centners per hectare. The Truzhenitsa variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, which allows for successful cultivation in the Ural region conditions. It possesses resistance to main diseases and pests, in particular it is weakly affected by anthracnose and septoria, which reduces the need for frequent application of protective agents. These qualities make Truzhenitsa a reliable and productive choice for gardeners and farmers seeking to obtain a high-quality black currant crop.
