Maize Zaislav M

Crop Stability in a Changing Climate

"Zaislav M" is a breeding development by the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agriculture of NAAS," designed for farms that prioritize risk management under inconsistent moisture levels. This hybrid demonstrates high adaptability to stress factors, which is critical for agricultural regions with unstable temperature regimes.

Built-in Biological Protection

The key advantage of this simple hybrid is its complex genetic resistance. Unlike many imported varieties that require intensive chemical treatment, "Zaislav M" possesses innate immunity against:

• Loose and common smut;
• Stalk rots;
• Root rots and ear rots.

Notably, it exhibits high resistance to the European corn borer, allowing farmers to significantly reduce insecticide costs during critical growth phases.

Versatility: From Silage Pit to Commercial Grain

The hybrid features dent-type grain, making it an excellent choice for both high-energy silage and quality grain production. A maturation period of 100–120 days (FAO 90–1240) allows for flexible harvest scheduling. The grain offers excellent moisture dry-down rates, lowering post-harvest drying costs. It is a reliable tool for producers seeking a balance between seed cost efficiency and stable yields.
