Corn Zakarpattia 381 MV is a high-yielding, plastic hybrid with large dent kernels and high yield potential. This hybrid is versatile, suitable for grain, silage, and biogas production. Due to its plasticity and drought resistance, corn grows successfully in all natural zones of Ukraine, showing stable and high yields under various cultivation technologies — both intensive and extensive.
Hybrid plants reach a height of 290-300 cm, with ears attached at 110-120 cm. The ear is large, with 14-16 rows of kernels and 36-40 kernels per row, with a 1000-kernel weight of 350-360 g. The hybrid has medium moisture shedding, which facilitates optimal harvest and reduces moisture loss. Additionally, the corn exhibits high lodging resistance, ensuring yield preservation under adverse weather conditions.
The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on the moisture zone: in adequately moist zones — 70-80 thousand plants per hectare, in moisture-deficient zones — 55-65 thousand plants per hectare. The yield potential reaches 16 tons of grain and 80 tons of green mass per hectare, making cultivation of this hybrid economically viable and promising for farmers.
