DM Benefit

DM Benefit is a new mid-season hybrid of sweet corn developed by the Ukrainian breeding company 'Maïs'. It belongs to the maturity group with FAO 320 and is intended for cultivation for grain and silage. The hybrid features dent-type yellow kernels and cylindrical ears with 16-18 rows of kernels. Plant height reaches 260 cm, and ear attachment height is about 100 cm. The hybrid has a medium potential for forming two ears and a high grain yield potential, which can reach 15.5 tons per hectare.

One of the key features of DM Benefit is its high resistance to stress factors and diseases. The hybrid demonstrates excellent drought resistance (rating 9), cold tolerance (8), as well as resistance to diseases such as gray leaf spot and common rust, and to the corn borer. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid adapts well to various soil-climatic conditions and is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions of Ukraine.
