Registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2008 and in the Register of Selection Achievements of Russia since 2011. Recommended growing zones: Forest Steppe, Polесье, and the Fifth Region of the Russian Federation.
Variety distinguishing features. Dentate type (ssp. indentata). Plant height 240-270 cm. Ear attachment height 95-100 cm. Leaf number 16-17. Ear length 24-25 cm. Row number of kernels 16-18. Kernel yield 84-85%. Ear stalk is red. 1000 kernel weight 280-290 g.
Biological characteristics. Medium-early maturity group FAO 270. Duration from emergence to full maturity 110-112 days. Early growth is rapid. Cold resistance is high. Drought resistance is high. Resistance to lodging and ear drooping is high. Resistance to gray mold is high. Resistance to southern corn leaf blight is high. Resistance to stalk rot is high. Resistance to corn borer is high.
Agronomic characteristics. Potential grain yield 12.0-12.5 t / ha. Recommended planting density for Forest Steppe: 60-62 thousand / ha, for Polесье — 65-67 thousand / ha. Harvest moisture content 19-22%. Potential green mass yield 45.0-46.0 t / ha. Dry matter content in green mass 32-33%. Protein content in grain 9.8-10.2%. Starch content 74.8%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis according to the full restoration scheme, without panicle removal. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal planting scheme for parental forms on hybridization plots 12:4, but 10:2 is also possible. Yield of standard seeds under high agronomic practices reaches 1.8-2.0 t / ha.
