DN Dnipro

DN Dnipro is a simple modified mid-season hybrid of grain maize with FAO 300, registered in the State Register of Varieties since 2015. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in steppe zones and is characterized by stable high grain yield, reaching 135 ц/га. According to its reaction to growing conditions, DN Dnipro belongs to moderately plastic genotypes, allowing it to adapt to various agro-climatic conditions.

Plants reach a height of 240-250 cm, with ear attachment height of 90-100 cm. The ear has a cylindrical shape, 23-24 cm long, with 16 rows of dent corn kernels in yellow-yellowish color. The 1000-kernel mass is 310-320 g, and the grain moisture at harvest varies from 2.2% to 0.5%. Each bag contains approximately 80,000 seeds.

The hybrid exhibits moderate early growth and good reaction to improved growing conditions. It has high drought resistance at high positive air temperatures, as well as resistance to infection by gray leaf spot and corn borer. DN Dnipro tolerates prolonged planting delays well and exhibits high resistance to lodging, allowing for late harvest without significant losses.
