NS 1070 — medium-early corn hybrid with FAO 280, intended for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones. This hybrid is characterized by plasticity and high adaptability, allowing successful cultivation both for grain and silage. The plant is compact, with an elastic and low stem, resistant to lodging and breakage, ensuring reliability under adverse weather conditions. The ear is long, cylindrical, medium thickness, with 14 rows of yellow-orange kernels. Kernel type is dent, standard quality, 1000-kernel weight around 250 grams. NS 1070 has high drought resistance and rapid water withdrawal, promoting timely maturity and reducing harvest loss risks. The hybrid demonstrates tolerance to major corn diseases, including helminthosporiosis, with resistance ratings of up to 9 points for major diseases and 8 points for helminthosporiosis on a 9-point scale. The plant exhibits good early development and optimal ear attachment, enhancing yield quality and stability. Potential yield of NS 1070 ranges from 8 to 14 tons of grain per hectare depending on growing conditions, with recommended planting density varying from 55–60 thousand plants per hectare under unfavorable conditions to 75–85 thousand under optimal conditions.
