AS 5 M 11

AS 5 M 11 is a late-maturing simple hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.), intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. The plant is of medium height with medium-width leaves and slightly curved shape. The ear is long and cylindrical, with a large number of rows of kernels (16-18), fully formed and slightly conical. Plant height reaches about 1.80 m, and ear height is approximately 0.65 m. The ear stalk is of medium length, which ensures convenient harvesting. The kernels are dent-shaped, with a rich yellow color on the upper part and yellow-orange on the lower part. The vegetation period of the hybrid is about 126 days, which corresponds to the standard level. The average yield of grain in the region reaches 60.5 centners per hectare, with maximum yields up to 89.8 centners per hectare, confirming the high productivity of the hybrid. Grain moisture at harvest is about 21%, which facilitates good storage and processing. The plant exhibits moderate resistance to diseases, reducing the risk of yield loss and minimizing the need for intensive use of protective measures. Morphological features include absence or weak anthocyanin pigmentation of the first leaf sheath, weak root and glume pigmentation, as well as medium intensity of silk and ear stalk pigmentation. The main panicle axis is long, with slightly curved side branches of medium length, which promotes good pollination and ear formation. These characteristics make AS 5 M 11 a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality corn harvest.
