Description Hotspot
Corn Hotspot — a high-yielding mid-ripening hybrid developed by SOUFFLET SEEDS. This hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to stalk diseases, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. The kernels are dent-shaped, yellow, with a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 320-340 grams. The plant is of medium height — from 210 to 230 cm, with ear attachment height around 85 cm. The number of kernels per row is 33-34, and rows per ear — 18-22, contributing to a high yield potential of up to 15 tons per hectare.

The Hotspot hybrid exhibits high drought resistance, rated at 8 points, and resistance to lodging (9 points), making it a reliable choice for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe regions. It demonstrates intensive water-exuding capacity, which facilitates harvest and reduces yield losses. The plant develops rapidly in early stages, responds well to intensive cultivation technologies, and shows high resistance to diseases in the latter part of the vegetation period, including corn smut and common rust.

For optimal cultivation, crop rotation with predecessors such as winter peas, potatoes, winter wheat, sugar beet, soybean, and winter barley is recommended. Seeds are supplied in packages of 50,000 units and require storage at +7-10°C with humidity not exceeding 10%. The Hotspot hybrid is intended for grain production and is suitable for regions with varying climatic conditions, ensuring stable and high yields when agronomic recommendations are followed.
