VOSTORG

VOSTORG, a winter soft wheat variety, is a medium-late, dwarf, and lodging-resistant type intended for cultivation in southern regions of Russia, such as Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Adygea, and the southern zone of Rostov Oblast. The vegetative period ranges from 219 to 288 days, with maturation occurring several days later than the Skifianka variety. Plants feature a height of 55 to 84 cm, a semi-upright bush, and a medium density pyramid-shaped ear with a white color. The grain is oval in shape with a long awn, and the mass of 1000 grains varies from 34 to 48 grams. The waxy coating on the leaf blade and upper parts of the plant is moderate to strong, contributing to resilience under unfavorable conditions.

VOSTORG is distinguished by good winter hardiness, which is at or slightly above the level of the Skifianka variety, as well as increased drought resistance, which is particularly important for regions with a variable climate. The average yield in recommended regions reaches 41.2 centners per hectare, while the bread-making qualities of the grain are rated as good, making this variety attractive for agricultural production and processing.

Due to its characteristics, the VOSTORG variety is suitable for cultivation in moderate and arid climates, demonstrating resistance to lodging and stress factors. Its application is effective in agrotechnologies aimed at obtaining stable and high-quality wheat harvests with good bread-making properties.
