Corn sugar variety DN Tala was registered in the state register in 2019 and represents a simple modified hybrid of grain type. This variety is characterized by high yield, which over the past five years ranged from 57.4 to 80.3 centners per hectare. The vegetation period lasts from 118 to 123 days, and plant height ranges from 214 to 259.5 centimeters. The grain yield at threshing is from 80.4 to 83.1%, indicating high efficiency of the variety.
DN Tala exhibits high resistance to adverse factors: drought resistance is rated 6–9 points, lodging resistance — 9 points, and resistance to blister spot — also 9 points. Protein content in the grain ranges from 8.0–9.7%, and starch — 72.1–72.4%, ensuring good raw material quality for various purposes. The variety is characterized by high moisture release during ripening, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.
DN Tala is recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe zones of Ukraine using intensive cultivation technologies. It adapts well to various soil-climate conditions, making it a versatile and reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high yield of sugar corn.
