Maize DN Sterkh

A Reliable Choice for Intensive Grain Production

In the unpredictable climate of Ukrainian steppes, the «DN Sterkh» hybrid, developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAS, stands out as a robust solution for commercial grain production. As a simple hybrid with dent grain, it is highly valued by agronomists for its adaptability and consistent yield potential.

Key Operational Advantages

• Biotic Stress Resistance: The hybrid exhibits strong resistance to stalk rots and common smut, effectively minimizing crop losses during the maturation stage.
• Pest Tolerance: Genetic resistance to the European corn borer allows producers to reduce reliance on intensive insecticide applications.
• Harvest Efficiency: The dent grain structure ensures excellent threshing performance and efficient drying, lowering post-harvest energy costs.

Agrotechnical Guidelines

To maximize the yield potential, precise plant density management is essential. Depending on soil moisture levels, the recommended plant population at harvest ranges from 80,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare. In high-fertility environments, utilizing the higher end of this density range is advised to fully capitalize on intensive agronomic practices.

Who Should Choose This Hybrid?

«DN Sterkh» is an optimal choice for producers focused on commercial grain sales who prioritize result predictability. If your farm employs intensive management and aims to reduce fungicide usage through the crop's natural immunity, this hybrid delivers stable, high-quality yields even in challenging growing seasons.
