DN Fiesta

DN Fiesta is a high-yielding mid-early hybrid of sweet corn, selected in Ukraine and included in the State Register of Plant Varieties since 2017. The plants of this hybrid are tall, reaching a height of 240-250 cm, with cylindrical ears 23-24 cm long, attached at a height of 90-100 cm. The kernels are yellow-orange, dent-shaped, round, with a 1000-kernel weight of 300-320 g, and a grain yield of 80-82%. The hybrid has a potential yield of up to 12 t/ha, confirmed by test results where the maximum yield reached 12.24 t/ha.

The main agronomic advantages of DN Fiesta include high drought and heat tolerance, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. The hybrid features high moisture content in the grain, facilitating harvest and reducing drying costs. Additionally, it exhibits good resistance to lodging, major diseases, and pests, ensuring reliable and stable yields.

The recommended planting density varies by region: 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in the Steppe, 80-85 thousand in the Forest-Steppe, and 85-90 thousand in the Polissia. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions and fertilization, especially nitrogen fertilizers, which contribute to higher yields. DN Fiesta is a versatile and effective choice for farmers seeking a stable and high yield of corn under various agroclimatic conditions.
