DN Palanok

The DN Palanok hybrid sugar corn is a high-yielding variety with a maturation period of 102 to 124 days. It is characterized by intense moisture-exuding ability of the kernels and high resistance to early spring frosts, ensuring rapid plant growth. DN Palanok demonstrates high resistance to lodging and diseases, scoring 9 points in these categories, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

Hybrid plants reach a height of 240-250 cm, do not form bushy growth, and ears are 23-25 cm long with a conical-cylindrical shape and approximately 16 rows of kernels. Kernels are yellow-orange with possible red stripes, cream-serrated and round in shape, with a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 270 to 290 g. Kernel yield is 78-82%, contributing to high productivity.

Yield varies by region: in the steppe zone it reaches 6.5-7.0 t/ha, in the forest-steppe zone — 11.0-13.0 t/ha, and in the Polissia region — up to 13.0 t/ha. Optimal plant density is 55-65 thousand per hectare in the steppe, 70-80 thousand in the forest-steppe, and more than 80 thousand in Polissia. The hybrid also has moderate drought and heat resistance, making it suitable for cultivation under various agroclimatic conditions.
