DN Raina — a mid-late maturity hybrid of sweet corn, intended for grain production and silage, especially in steppe conditions. This hybrid is characterized by high resistance to adverse weather conditions, as well as to major pests and diseases. The plant is resistant to lodging and stem breakage, preserving yield quality even when harvesting is delayed. The ear has a conical-cylindrical shape, 24–26 cm long, with 18–22 rows of kernels and 45–50 kernels per row, ensuring a high grain yield — up to 84%. The DN Raina hybrid is adapted to various growing conditions: in the Steppe, the optimal plant population at harvest is 35–40 thousand plants per hectare, and under irrigation — 55–60 thousand. In the Forest Steppe, the recommended density for silage use is also 55–60 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to these parameters, high yield and product quality are achieved.
