When selecting seed material for maize, we focus on predictability. The "DN Pulsatsia" hybrid, developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of NAAS, is a dependable tool that requires minimal intervention and demonstrates high resistance to key pathogens. With a maturity cycle of 90–100 days, it allows for efficient harvest planning.

Maintenance and Health

The primary advantage of this simple hybrid is its innate resistance to diseases. We have observed consistent protection against Helminthosporium leaf spot, Fusarium, and both loose and stem smut. For an agronomist, this means significant savings on fungicide applications. The dent-type grain accumulates starch levels between 74–76%, making it a versatile choice for both grain production and high-quality silage.

Planting Density Recommendations

To ensure maximum yields, we follow a specific sowing strategy:

• In drought-prone areas: 50–55 thousand plants per hectare to reduce competition and ensure proper ear development.
• Under irrigation or on high-fertility soils: 85–90 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid is responsive to high density and maintains excellent stalk integrity.
