DMS Grano

DMS Grano — a mid-early simple hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 260, developed by MAIS and recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. This hybrid is characterized by its versatility and high yield, making it suitable for various cultivation technologies and climatic conditions. The optimal FAO value ensures a stable yield at optimal soil moisture, as confirmed by successful use over four consecutive seasons.

Plants of the DMS Grano hybrid reach a height of up to 220 cm, with the ear forming at a level of 90 cm above the soil surface. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to smut and significant drought tolerance, ensuring reliable yields even under adverse conditions. Additionally, the corn responds well to fertilizer application and is capable of forming two ears, further enhancing its productivity.

Yield of the hybrid varies depending on agronomic practices: from 7 tons per hectare under low input conditions to 11-12 tons under intensive cultivation. Grain moisture at harvest is 14-16%, facilitating subsequent processing and storage. To achieve maximum results, it is recommended to maintain optimal planting density: 65-70 thousand plants per hectare in central regions and 40-50 thousand per hectare in drier areas.
